Getting a bit fed up with this now....on high boost, the acceleration is a bit jurky...not smooth at all....I have just put a HKS SSQV on...could this be not sealing correcrtly and causing a fluctuation in boost levels??? This is really starting to *bleep* me off...anmy help would be as always fantastic

cheers all

This is always an hard one because it could be so many different things, but the answers you will get back are:-

needs new plugs
dizzy cap
possible leads
fuel filter ??? fuel starvation on boost.
crap fuel ??
timing out ??
boost leak
split vac pipe
afm problem (185)

personally mine was really lumpy on very slight throttle and it was the TPS losing the signal on slight throttle.Easy to spot on the motec.

Im afraid i have a slight advantage having access to a garage and 4wd rolling road. But i would start with the basics mate and obviously the cheapest.
Hope this helps
sorry i really need to drive it to give you a better idea.
Hutch

Cheers for the reply Sonic...so far I have...
Newish Plugs...possible pulgs problem??????
New dizzy Cap
Brand new Toyota leads
Fuel filter changed a 18 months ago
Always filled with Optimax from a popular garage
Timing is 1deg out (not an issue according to Ian S )
Boost Leak - my thoughts but couldnt locate one
Split vac pipe - All vacuum pipes replaced with braided jobbies

I`m at a loss.....thinking I`ll go on the hunt for a boost leak...psiibly the new second hand dump valve isnt sealing porperly.
