Interesting post on http://www.gt4dc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic. ... highlight=

This is the same turbo that was fitted to the Toyota IMSA GTO car that was demonstrated at Goodwood Festival of Speed this year. According to Toyota the 2090cc 4T-GT engine made 456bhp in this guise.

In the Toyota 85C Le Mans car a maximum of 503bhp@7,600rpm was achieved using a revised Denso ECU although it is unclear if this used this particular turbo. My sources indicate that a CT44RT was employed on the later Le Mans spec 4T-GT.

I don't have any details on what turbo was used in the Group B Toyota TA64 Celica which also used the 4T-GT engine. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks Gary, another piece of the jisaw puzzle is now in place :)

According to Ian Bamseys book the CT44RT and ST turbos used on the Toyota 96C Le Mans 4T-GT engine were based on the KKK turbo.

I think the Porsche 956/962 sports prototype also used KKK turbos but the Toyota's were always struggling for pace compared to the Porkers. They tried the turbo 16 valve 3S-GTM engine in the 87C before moving on to the V8 R32V engine in the 88C-V.
