Hello guys (and girls :D)

The ST205's rear brake discs have a 315 mm diameter right?

Could someone please supply me info regarding:

- rear disc thickness
- rear calliper piston diameter
- rear brake pad radial depth

Ta

you can find quite a lot of those dimensions on the brakes international online shop :)

Wow, that's a great resource indeed, thanks mate!

For people who want to know this also but are too lazy to check out their site:

ST205 rear discs are 315x16 mm
Rear calliper pistons have a 38.1 mm diameter

Do not buy the aftermarket overhaul kit for the brakes, buy genuine Toyota as the aftermarket dust covers for the pistons do not fit well :)

If you require new brake pistons then Toyota again I'm afraid!

ooh, good info kris :)
my friend's 205 rear caliper needs rebuilding, so we were considering replacing it with a new caliper from brakes.int, do you know if these are any good?

i imagine their brake discs are half decent as its not exactly hard to machine those, but how about calipers?

chars :)

We have always overhaulled the stock ones, the kit from Toymota has the seals etc.

We have done the 165 and 205 brakes in this way, and not had a problem :)

It does however mean the car is off the road for a day or 2 whilst you are doing all of the hard work.

Andy - yep Brank Int have stock 205 callipers on the shelf - minus the "Celica" bit embossed on the side.

I have no experience of their whole callipers so couldn't comment on them.

Brake disks seem fine, whoever they get them from! If you ask nicely then will cut grooves into the disks for you too. :)

Markst185 from the OC did a write up about the rear 205 conversion, he got Brakes int. callipers and they did say Celica on the covers..

I'll get callipers from a stripped ST205, discs and pads might come from a Jap tuner or otherwise new stockers..
