having endless logs of engine coolant temperatures all stable on the rev2 3sgte engine 85 / 95c, the ratter always took a wee while to fully warm up, my excuse just to go for a drive just to make sure it's up to temps.

any way'z

after started to clock some miles using a faffy thingy  , noticed how much quicker coolant T rises, totally luxury 8) , but Mr T's quick warm-up fix/change whatever compared to 185 setup sure works but in two different ways, umm rev3 design shoots its self in the foot, relying on the action of the thermostat more than ever, with limited byepass flow, not good, I could have this all at the wrong angle…

running open flow , will reduce cycle surge with coolant temp imbalance.... crack block thanks very much NOT, well just one of the contributors…lack of bracing maybe another…

I can’t suggest the requirements of an oil cooler , its 2millions times more important than you think…

this probably has been covered and discussed many times

Hmm,
Interesting to note the differences between stat closed operation and the coolant bypass when it is closed. Another possibility for the cracked blocks then!
