I ended up getting a Merc, mainly just coz I'd already had a Beemer before. Always trying new things me  Very happy with it as my daily driver now and is giving me the chance to get some money put away to deal with getting me poor old ST205 back on the road :( Oh for that lottery win...

Cheers,
Mark

Hi Loose - flogged it in p-ex for the Merc. Although it was a great little car there were a couple of issues that had started getting to me. Nothing mechanical etc, just that the fuel tank was only about 40 litres so you could only just manage a bit over 300 miles per tank if you drove like a granny so it felt like I was forever filling up with the mileage I was doing, and also on long trips it wasn't actually the most comfortable of beasts I must say  must be getting old  Anyways, the Merc has a 60 litre tank that can get me nigh on 500 miles if I drive sensibly (not much choice with that car - prefers wafting around as opposed to zoomin' ) and is dead comfy for long distance driving 8) also has acres of space for passengers and luggage etc. Overall I'm well pleased with it :) Will have to pop over some time soon to collect those dvds and books I lent you & Kris so you can have a look then if ya like :)

Cheers,
Mark
