what size oil cooler would peeps recommend?

would a 19 row x235mm cooler seem ok or a little excessive for fast road use?

obviously i would have an oil stat inline for overcooling issues.

IMHO excessive,
Sirius should be able to shed some light on actual monitored temps from a 13 row IIRC.

For fast road I would probably go for a 10 row oil cooler.

I'll post a more detailed response later - got to go to work now :)
