any 1 know how to tell if you have slip dif fitted? is there a number on the vin plate that tells you?

The easiest way I have found is draining the rear diff fluid and then looking at the gears through the drain. There are plenty of pics online of the open and torsen diff and you can use those as a guide to see what to look for. Unless there have been new findings the vin is useless for finding out about the rear dif unless you have a CS model or a 205, and everyone knows those already come with torsen. |
