Loosey, You were telling me today about something you did to your car to prevent the engine dying in the same way you suspect Kris's car did.

What was it?

I cannot for the life of me remember what it was, something that Toyota released a revised part for which wasn't quite right from the factory.

Is it something all 205 owners need to know about (that's why this isn't a PM :))

Candyman - poor quality oil killed my engine.

I think what Loosey was referring to is the oil pressure regulator.

The design of this has been revised. I would assume by casually looking at the revisions that this is to help the oil pressure, especially when at low rpm

This is a simply replacement part and only is applicable to the 205.

I would replace it at the next oil change :) ~£20.
