I'd be interested to see where you run the pipes.

through the passenger wing and straight out the otherside, i needed to rebuild a few things to keep everything where it is, unfortunately i didnt take any photos during the build, just before and after, so all the pipework is hidden by the bumper and wing. :S

wait so the charge cooler pump is supposed to be quiet?

Mine makes a distinct whirring noise...can definitely hear it over the engine. I just assumed it was normal as this my first gt4

Is it still working as long as it is making noise (so if it suddenly becomes quiet then I should start worrying)?

the pump will work on a throttle switch, when the throttle is pressed, the pump works.

to see if it works take the cc cap off then blip the throttle, the fluid should move.

The pump always makes some noise but with the engine running you'd be unlikely to hear it unless you have your head in the general area

To test the pump operation

Attached to the right hand side of the main radiator is a box marked RELAYS

Take the cover off. On the reverse of the lid is a diag which should identify the far left relay as the I/C one. Pull this out of it's socket
You'll now be looking at a relay holder with 4 pins - the two furthest away from you are smaller than the two nearest you
With a piece of wire connect the left hand large terminal to the positive side of the battery. You should hear a quiet whine that just sounds like a normal motor should. It it clatters, screeches, rumbles or doesn't make any noise the pump is ready for an overhaul

Rough layout of pins in relay base

Pin numbers
1 2
3 4

Pin 3 is the one you're after :D

mine works as it should but is just noisy at the moment. I can hear it at idle but the engine drowns out the noise when I am driving. I'll give it an overhaul sometime this summer
