what does the fuel map look like and afr logging?

that'll help pinpoint the issue. Quite possible the cam timing is up the swanny.....

standard cams and the afr was perfect, smooth all the way through the rev range, again cant remember off my head but it was perfect under wot, the car was smooth as anything when running home, but clear as daylight nowhere near the power it should be.

the car made good power down low, then just wouldnt go anymore.

the dyno is DSA down in aylesbury..

It would be interesting to see datalogs or maps

It would help diagnose stuff. For instance a marked drop in fueling as rpm rises would point to an airflow issue within the engine. Dave is a well respected guy so it's got to be something out of the ordinary if he's stumped

the afr was perfect

As JP says, please post some information for all the guys to look at. I am 100% sure everyone's idea of perfect is not the same! :P

Have you checked the cam timing now? Is it ok? Lots of power down low and then naff all sounds like the cams are off.

If you cant get the map from Dave could you download off ECU & email me at me Dc address the map and I will open it & screenshot it (and post up if you are happy for me to do so).

Hi guys

Thanks for the suggestions so far (it is my car but my brother is a bit better placed (not an idiot like me) to understand the issues than me! ). We are going to get the maps off the guy who built the engine on Sunday as he has the copies at the moment (not sure if we have the fueling one).

In terms of cams, he has checked these again and they are spot on so this cant be the issue.

Fueling wise as well, Dave had no problem with this throughout and the engine is running very sweet. Its like my brother says, you just cant here any kinda suction coming from the turbo and it flatlines at around 4k revs.

Thanks again fella's

Adam

right, the turbo is off and the cart isnt right, sometimes the turbine sticks is the only way i can describe so im working on getting a replacement turbo for free as its out of the 12month warrenty so i will see what i can do there.. but heres the graphs just to show how badly the turbo was... sorry wasnt working.

the estimated flywheel bhp and torque, these graphs are of the lower bhp ones but show the curves better

this one shows the graphs with different boost pressure on the power levels, they are similar as you can see and they all stop and flat line near the same rpm too.

and here is the lambda reading, as you can see, dave has fueling rock solid as i would expect.

but as we can see, the turbine shaft seems fubar which is a pain
