They seal the pulsation damper and 90° banjo fitting to the inlet side of the fuel rail. Mine is leaking (badly) and I need to know what it's called so that I can get hold of another one. Ideally if you know where to get them from that would save me some hassle as well. :D

Or I might have a go at making one from a cornflakes packet...

Why not fit a copper washer? (I don't remember seeing a washer looking like that on the rail before...)

It's on the rev 4 rail.

There is a pulsation damper on the end of the rail, the fuel flows from the banjo fitting and into it through an annular gap, it then goes through the damper, doubles back and passes out through a centre hole to get into the rail. The little 'teeth' on the washer maintain a gap so that the fuel can flow into the annulus, you'd have problems centring a standard washer so that it didn't restrict access to the gap.

I guess a copper washer could be modded to have the same teeth cut into it, but it would have to be a large one as the ID on this washer is 12mm, but the OD is 19. The only copper 12mm washers I've got are 15mm OD.

I'm tempted to do that! I'll just use a banjo bolt and standard copper washers - it should be much less restrictive to flow than that dampener.

I'd go with Sunny's plan

The damper isn't the best looking design although I guess it's there for a reason

Done, now using a banjo bolt from the ST205 rail, but will look about converting to that inline style of plumbing that Sunny is using asap.

Damper is now on the shelf marked "Useless Junk" along with the charcoal canister, Caldina top mount, braided brake lines, bonnet insulation, rain tray, space saver and Toyota tool kit. :D

Hi,

i think the damper is just a economic part as the gen.4 is designed to that

have a look to this picture, now i use the useless bolt from the outlet side of the rail instead the cutted fuel pressure regualtor buttom to close the hohle (M12x1,25)
