A pic showing the switch would be good, however, I'm guessing it is a non-standard switch so therefore is mostly likely to be the on/off switch for the rear foglight.

if it is an st205 then the bottom right switch is for front head light washers.

the left hand side is for 4ws, however this is only if its for an st2** series and the 4ws never applied to the gtfour so i beleive it will be as above, a rear fog

Hiya I have a non standard switch to the right of the steering colomn on the dash that looks like a biro pen click top that doesnt do anything but it could be the fog light bulb has gone. The one I'm confused about is recessed into the steering colomn on the left it looks like it was manufactured when the car was built but again doesnt seem to do anything. I'll get my bf to try and put pics of it on here as I'm not great with computers!

what model gtfour is it?

if its the st205 then the left hand side is a 4ws button which as i say, wont work as they never made it 4ws which means it is a non standard addition

Impulse buying is the future!

Pictures would certainly help as there are a lot of custom switches fitted by people.

There is a few possibilities -
1) is it anything to do with the steering column adjustment?
2) Cruise control was an option on JDM cars but very rare - never seen the button but it coudl be there.

We really need a pic so we know exactly what you are talking about.

Oh & WTTC - get some pics up or the car too ;-)

Does your steering wheel pop up when you remove your key?

Try setting the buttin above in other position and then re-checking if steering wheel pops up.

I don't think it pops up when I remove the key but I've only driven it once so far yesterday when I brought it home. I'll try it tomorrow when I pop out in it for a spin.

its the steering column pop-up button.
When key is out the wheel will pop up if the switch is in ( or maybe out cant remember )

Just to clarify...
Button in (on) - key removed from ignition - steering column pops-up automatically.
Button out (off) - key removed from ignition - steering column remains in static position.
It's basically a means to move the steering wheel out of the way to ease entry and exit from the vehicle.

Thank you everyone it is for the steering column. My bf finds it highly amusing when I keep forgetting it does this and the look of shock on my face really starts him off :-/
