A member on the alltrac boards is working on a solution for center and front lsd. He is trying to see if he can make the rumored mod of a mr2 front lsd to work.

Kris,
Any chance you had to look at the parts? The 185 parts are posted in the link above. I am curious if the 205 transfer has any more room in it due to the lack of the awd selector.

Not had chance to get the pics/parts out the garage - I've been away with work, and will be for the next week or so - when I get chance then I'll have a look :)

Well it looks like he may be selling his project, but quaife UK says they would make a diff if there was at least an order of 10. I asked them for pricing.

If the price was under 650 and its a torsen unit I'd have one.
If a LSD type then wouldn't be interested .

There will never be a front diff for the gtfour for under 650. Expect to pay over 1000.

oh i know they could make it for way less.... but they will want to cover their dev cost.... i'm not prepared to pay for it over the first one off order of say 10.

quaiffe torsen diff i got for my scirocco many years ago, was around 400 UKP. and i saw them get cheaper... i know they wont sell many, but if they were cheaper i bet you they will sell more... its a chance they will have to decide to take or not. if its sensible money ( my view of senssible ;) hehe ) lets say 600, i could imagine between 20 and 50 units being sold in maybe a 12 month period. preice it at 1000 or over, and i bet you wont get 10 people even prepared to say they will have one, let alone come up with the money.

i've seen mondern day CAD work done on parts, and i know they'll use existing parts to make a diff unit that fits our differiental ring.... only a the holding case from the internal working adapting to the main gear ring would most likely have to be a new design.
