Hi,
have an issue with my car.
When I'm in traffic in lower gears (1st or 2nd), costant gas, car bounces back and forth.
I know it's not engine mounts' worn/old because they are poly, so I think it could be a play in the transmission... gears, axles, diffs...
Just wanted to know if someone else suffers of the same thing...

Is it just engine not running smooth at light throttle / low rpm?

Not mine... i have all the mounts new and poly or teflon...

No, engine is smooth, and I'm talking about a bouncing at constant rpm...

I do have some play on the trans shaft, maybe it's just too much play...

Sounds like a dodgey mapping spot to me.

Are you using an aftermarket EMS? May be worth checking the decel fuel cut settings.

What you are reffering to is called "drivetrain shunt"

In some ECUs there is a setting to allow for a dodgy throttle sensor/right foot (jitter) - this allows for a slight varaition in throttle input to the ECU before it responds to that input.

Yes sure, but this is not the case, i know what you're talking about, my gas pedal is steady in a position, and rpm are constant...
it's just the car that bounce back and forth...

Sure, M400
No, no decel fuel cut (overrun fuel cut) setting... gas pedal is fixed in one position, so no deceleration... that's why I thought at some play somewhere...

Oh, I think that was when you hear a clunk releasing and suddendly accelerating...
I have no strange drivetrain clunk or sound... just my car "kangarooing"...

As I have some drive shaft play, I thought this was the cause... but maybe that it's due to clutch hub's springs...
