two master cylinders, front and rear circuits with a threaded bar between them. the pedal is attached in the middle with a threaded sleeve. turnine the threaded rod moves the pedal contact side to side and varies the pressures applied to either master cylinder. Eas to google for pics than explain

That's the setup I had on the escort. I thought Don was talking about a single dual circuit master cylindserer to bolt on the servo.

Nial, what's your planned use for the car ?

If good performance on loose or slippery surfaces is included then you really do want to keep the facility for 16 inch wheels. If you're only looking at a tarmac monster then just stick with 17 or 18 inch and go for a brake upgrade.

If your reason for wanting a brake upgrade is just to reduce pedal effort, then you will achieve the same thing by using smaller diameter master cylinder or shorter distance from pivot to master cylinder take off. Whatever route you take, reduction in pedal effort will be acompanied by increase in pedal travel.

Another possibility is to use in-line servos if they still exist - an old trick in escorts back when I was running mine.

For the time being it will be a tarmac/road set up. Depending on how things go I might want a rough/loose surface set up, but that will be a long way off.
