Post subject:  My SARD 800 are 900

Hi all

Just put my brand new sard in the rail yesterday and test them @45psi Aeromotive FPR, BOSCH 044, 12.6V battery, and of course inj resistor pack.

They are near to well balanced
#1 : 905cc
#2 : 907cc
#3 : 906cc
#4 : 906cc

But why are they around 900cc

I supposed flow is given for 3b / 45psi, my pump is not overvoltage nor undervoltage, i am sure i put only 60 seconde on (autoshut off system double checked with my clock).

Engine tuning is booked for this WE, so if you have a quick feedback for me

I read here and there that they are not strict 800 but never read 900 range.

May someone have same result as mine, or where is my fault ?

 that is unusual - never heard of them being higher than the value stated, less yes...
I had a set of Blitz 850cc injectors (second-hand) which turned out to be more like 840s (professionally cleaned and checked) - an expected result.

That's what i usually read about them
They are professionnaly cleaned even if they are new as i read some unbalanced flow issue but not professionnaly flow tested

I have check 4 times each injector, result are the same between 900 and 910cc

Does the Bosch 044 is the source of this ? I use dash 6 for the fuel circuit, think it doesn't restrict anything but as an analogy with Walbro on stock 185 that overfuelling more than ith OEM pump.

900 is not a real issue on mapping, i will just take this value as the "normal" flow of the injectors, but if one day they come back to the 800 and i don't keep my eyes on AFR gauge -> bye bye forged build

Strangely you may actually find that injectors when dirty or still with plenty of assembly lube in them willf low more than when totally clean.

When injectors are dirty they tend to "hose" and flow more as opposed to a nice mist/spray.

May be worth checking once they have been run for quite a while.

All came back to normal flow after 1 hour on engine bench, 799 to 804 cc/min

I don't know why, i used the same method to check and result were different.

After 5 hour mapping the engine i cehck once again and they are from 798 to 805 so seems now reliable
