Paddle clutches, just how bad are they? I’ve never had the experience of one but have heard that they can be very snatchy and not road driving friendly.
I’m not looking for more then 300hp and wont be doing any track use so any ideas or recommendations please. Dorris

track use don't kill clutch, it's launching hard.

OEM ST205 clutch is very good with good fig. supported.

Paddle clutches get killed by slipping/regular road driving. Stick to a full face and IMHO for your needs stick to a Toyota st205 clutch. Fine for long periods up to 340bhp (ask Don). Alternatively Mike Kelly's full face RPS clutch has lasted very well at 300-325bhp, nice light pedal too. I had the RPS max street which is the next one up from mikes but still full face and clutch pedal was heavy but would happily slip when needed to in M25 traffic if you leg could stand it. (IMHO it is overkill for your needs.)

So the ST205 clutches drop straight into the ST185s then?

I can endorse the above recommendation for the standard OEM ST205 clutch at 300-330bhp based on personal experience.
