Gary - yes that works aswell, although your measuring a best case scenario and won't pic up any problems that may develop in the head.

For a little while I had sensors in both locations there is approximately 1.5 pressure differential between the lower ports and the head.

I have measured them as 5/8 UNF but the fit is quite loose and you will nead something like a doughty seal to prevent it from leaking. When I measured the plug that came out it actually came up as 21/32 UNF but this is a totally bizzare size and you will unlikely find any fittings in that size.

I know Kris measured them as a different size but I seem to recall it was an interference fit (not neccesarily a bad thing as you don't want it to leak)
