OK so I'm piecing the old 185 back together, got the whole front end stripped off and going to remove the air con rad etc. What small-car rads has anyone fitted for use with a chargecooler setup? I've got the chargecooler itself and a suitable pump, I just need to find a rad that's at least as big as the stock CS rad with either the right size hoses or find hose reducers too. I'd considered a pair of bike rads instead, smaller tubing etc.

Anyone done it with something like a metro rad?

Groovy, I'll try to find some hose converters to suit. I think WTA suits my setup better than FM.

Found a cheaper and better solution, have posted it on another forum but I'll put it here for completeness in case others are looking...

Audi 100 fits nicely... for £26 new on ebay - 570x300x34mm twin-pass core.

Just need to find a better pump now.

I've always wondered if the ac rad would flow enough to work

I wondered that too but concluded that with an ID of about 12mm on the pipework and the fact that it's designed for high pressure low flowrate operation (and designed for phase-change operation) that it's better to go for something already designed in that vein. I was a tad concerned about a) radiation between the engine rad and the full-size rad and b) the airflow getting to the main rad. a) Doesn't seem to be a problem, after 20 minutes with the main rad at full temp and the CC rad empty it wasn't even body temp on the rearward side. B) I'm not sure of yet as I've not had it out on the road, but I do intend to duct around the rad and under the bumper where I'm currently missing undertrays to guide the air through, but I'll keep an eye on it.
