Hiya

Does anyone have the part number for the pipe shown in picture
(or even what it is actually called may assist)

Image

I went to Toyota with the picture and ordered what they said it was but looks to small ( i cannot get down to the garage to check against other one today due to couple o bad days )

As this pipe is on the back of the block i wanted to get it sorted asap as will have to re-order today to get before this Saturday when engine may possibly be put back in

I have tried to look through what documentation i have but am unable to find the part number, hence the calling on some assistance

Many thanks for reading

Chris

IIRC it is a ST165 block and the car is an E reg so around 1987 (very early St165 JDM).

I suspect it is the same part as used on the St185

The water by-pass no.5 hose ought to be on here:

my EPC appears to show the same PNC 16282 & part number 16282-88380 hose, water by-pass, no. 5

Looks like they are the same then Gary.

Jingo - can you measure the internal bore both ends of the hose - I can check against my block & hoses for st185 in the garage for you.

Thats the pipe i have ie they sent but the pipe i want is on the other side of the block

cant get down to garage today so cant measure
It is on the manifold support stay side

coolant bypass hose is the opposite side of the block ie the front side by the oil filter ( which as i have it i may as well replace that one as well

Just tried to find a better picture and yes looks like the other side of water bypass hose possibly-------------- though i am pretty certain thatthe one that is on there is longer in dimensions

PIC
Image

perhaps my memory is incorrect just seems a lot smaller in length that i can recall. ( wouldnt be the first time ive made that mistake lol )

So perhaps the two sides are the same

Dicemans picture and part number is of an equivalent ST185 engine / SW20 Rev1&2 MR2 to be exact

Image vs, Image

# The ST185 has different part numbers for by-pass hoses #4 & #5 , but i seem to remember that they are essential exactly the same hose, diameter and shape iirc.

# The Russian EPC link above ( and my own EPC version on my PC) confirms that the ST165 hose that you need which is found on the rear of the block, uses the same ST185 hose & part number as found on the front of the ST185 block!

# I bet when you get the other hose form Toyota it will be exactly the same. If it is, then i will buy the spare one for my collection.

Hiya Gary.... managed to get the pipe today and its exactly the same in length but the bore size is larger on the one on the rear so they are actually different

Thought id post it up so your records and inventory are correct :)
