I noticed that as well!

Given that this car is pretty much money no object it does bring the real life benefits of COP et al into question if they have decided to stick with a distributor.

I am curious how this oem looking center feed manifold is handling the job.

Something I admired about Jonny's car in the early days was that they didn't go out and spend loads of cash on shiny bits, but used bits & pieces available in the workshop and were able to make a class winning car while spending less money than most spend on polish. Goes to show the application of true knowledge works better than going with the sheep.

Admitedly, it's had a bit more cash spent now  but it looks like the old principle is still there to some extent - don't spend cash if there is little/no improvement to be gained.

I would agree with that. You could argue that the Milners 50k's worth of MacTrac transmission is overkill given that Adrian with 8k's worth of Elite dog box, secondhand TRD front LSD, OEM centre and Cusco rear LSD was only a second slower in the final. OK, Milner made a mistake but that only cost him a second so that would mean a difference of two seconds to Adrian. Driving technique could make up that difference easily. Its fascinating to see how the different approaches end up so closely matched.

If there were front lsd options I am certain there would be a lot more gtfours proving themselves in competition. Damn toyota for designing something so cleverly useless.

Yep, around that if you were to buy the parts in and pay for the mapping by Fraser McKellar (ex-TTE). There's a lot of parts that are TTE/TMG ex WRC Celica and Corolla. Its a bit like the Roger Clark 'Gobstopper' Impreza which had titanium ARB's etc off the WRC car. If you know the right people you can get the stuff but for the average guy there's no way he can get the parts. Only alternative would be to rob a bank so you could afford to buy them from Wevers Target Racing Holland or maybe Step 2 in Italy if they still have parts
