Can anyone tell me if there is any difference between 205 and 185 alternators in both fitting and amp out put? Cheers all Dorris

Fitting same.
Wiring different but compatible. Get the plug with the alternator.
Amp output no idea.

The 205 has an 80A alternator, not sure about the 185, but I'd suspect that it would be the same

Hi,

toyodiy say that the ST185 is also a 80A type, the caldina alternator is the next bigger one with 100A but i doesn't know how it looks like on the connector side

Thanks for the offer but I think I'll go with the original model due to the connector difference and also what im trying to acheive with the build. Cheers Dorris
