Hoping someone might know of this or point me in the right direction towards a fix.
When I use the pop up headlights the drivers side light occasionally does not light up. The units pop up and fall down fine.....it's just the light doesn't always come on. It seems to be if the car has been left exposed in cold weather for a prolonged period of time...ie. After leaving to go home from work.
When the car is parked in my garage overnight it's fine.

Not sure what might be causing this.....it's strange....if I slap the light unit then the light comes on.......and it all goes back to normal......so it's literally happening only when I first get into the car when it's cold.....even if I drive down the road turn off and lights off and then turn on then it's all good and the light works.... Not a major problem....but a little annoying niggle really.

Steve

Sounds like a dodgy connection somewhere or a bad earth.

Undo all the wires from the light, give them a thorough inspection to check for damage, then reattach.

Or just carry on with the good old "percussive maintenance"
