What is best for the 2 bolt diamond shaped -AN flanges for oil/water that bolt to a turbo Ally.Steel or S/Steel ?? ive seen them in ally and steel but surely turbo gets to hot for Ally oil/water flanges?? anyone know whats best.

Hi,

i think alu is fine, the water not just cool the turbo, but also the connectors and hoses

i would not use stainless bolts and nuts on parts that get frequently hot and cold, they will become unscrewed after time if you don't use any special security method

dont use stainless steel think of Bio metallic corrosion dissimilar metals re-acting with each other. Use ally after all the cylinder head is and that handles the temperatures well
