Anyone have or know anyone else with experience of this Cusco water spray controller - http://www.cusco.co.jp/english/e_cont.html (at bottom of page)? Looks like the sort of thing I'm after. Gary |

I did a writeup on a retro-fit of a spraybar to my car. My opinion is that it is not worth it really unless you can carry a huge amount of water, however the weight penalty would then be a bigger tradeoff than running a couple psi less boost. Heres the link

I've seen that alreday thamks. I think the downside with your system was the continuous use of the pump. Not only will it drain the tank quickly, it also won't be as effective. Continuous water being sprayed onto the rad will not evaporate quickly enough to take the heat with it. Hence the on/off/on type system. Much more effective and won't use as much H2O. Couple that to a temp switch and you should, in theory, have an effective system. I also intend using Aquamist WI nozzles which are smaller, produce a finer mist and will use less water. Gary |

I believe that quantity is the key here, I don't think there is anyway an aquamist type nozzle is going to be able to flow enough water to make a difference. If it was a A/A FMIC then I could see the benefit, but otherwise 
It will be interesting to see some data from the system once you get it installed, especially given the warmer climes over there Do you have or plan any sensors for the plenum or chargecooler fluid?

The plan is to use 3 nozzles with a high power pump - maybe even an aquamist pump. The finer the mist, the better the heat absorbing qualities. I've just ordered a digital temp gauge and probe from Oz to keep an eye on inlet temps. That way I can monitor the effectiveness (hopefully) of any system I fit
