Whilst fitting my fmic yesterday we noticed that my rad is fubar'd.

Apart from a recore at Serck or a new standard one from TCB, what are my options?

I'd suspect that a re-core at Serck will only be a single core :(

TCB is always a good option, as would be Fensport. I "think" both these suppliers are supplying the rads at pretty much the same price and both supply new genuine Toyota rads...

I wonder if the 205 Koyo rad would fit a 185..... :D

Is the standard rad multicore then?
What would be the disadvantages of a single core?

How much is a Koyo rad?

The stock core is a "twin core" i.e. ~25mm

A single core will not dissipate as much heat as a thicker core

"think" a Koyo works out at £250 - £300?

Sure I posted some info about this a while back?
