hi guys,i need some advice on boost pressure,i have a fully triple lagged cc,cold air feed,k&n,hayward and scott 100 cell cat,3" hks silent hi power zorst, grade 7 plugs,rr @ power engineering ,now i know boost rises abit when we get colder weather ect, just wanted to know if my engine is going to be ok,since its not running std boost it goes from 1.11 bar to as much as 1.17 bar once when it was really cold,it also seems to make that boost a little bit faster now,im thinking its the "3 hks zorst?

thanks in advance

You should be ok if u have front mount cooler. Mine reads exactly same, 1.17 sometimes slightly higher even though its set for 1.1

...if it gets much colder, you may hit fuel cut.

Engine will be OK until repeated detonation event occurs, and then you will likely crack a piston.

If you choose to raise the boost over stock, the engine will fail quicker. Be it 10 miles or 100,000 miles.

There is plenty of evidence of failed engines on all the forums. There is no "safe" level.

It hasn't really got that cold yet. If we get freezing weather then I'd turn the boost down or even switch the controller off and run on actuator boost to be really safe. Depends to some extent how you drive the car. If you rag the @rse off it then there is greater chance of detonation.

Did I read somewhere else that you have advanced the ignition timing using the distributor as well?

This won't help things with regards to keeping your engine in one piece.

you can adjust ebc on the road, i hope you can adjust yours or it could be interesting when it starts to freeze.

blitz etc you can just adjust on the fly anyway.

i wouldnt bother with rolling road to tune a boost controller, its a waste of your hard earned cash.

i have always stuck to better safe than sorry and run mine at 1.1bar max, and actuator mostly as said above when it gets too cold
