Well that's one way of doing it. Did you just have a spare kicking about?

Next job is to get it secured to something before the incident is repeated :!:

From the description on the phone, sounds like an age / corrosion / high resistance contact type of failure. A single plug connection had got hot & melted the surrounding plastic. Replacement fusebox from scrapyard, along with the affected connector rejoined to original loom.

Worth a quick look at this thread.

yeah on futher inspection it looks like wire got how when shorted on something..
then the heat melted the plug to the fusebox.. a bit of BFI later and a short trip to scrap yard to cut another fusebox out gave me a second fusebox that fits better and is cleaner underneath and doesnt look to be rattled about and worn.. one or two wires later cutting and splicing i have everything back and cars running and sounding better. lights dont dim when load is applied to electric circuit. which seems to be a win win.. the wire that fried was the thicker white wire that runs off the alt (100 amp slow blow) back into the smaller fuse for efi headlights dome and ect. so hopefully after a small modification to the battery bracket to allow the bigger battery, i remounted all the fusebox and parts id removed. cranked it over and started straight away ran until fan kicked in and tested by maxing the load asmuch as i could and even engine revs didnt drop. so hopefully thats the last of that issue until i have to reloacate battery to boot and fusebox next to relay box above the offside chassis rail to allow cold air intake. :) thanks for all your help guys and hopefully see you sunday if i can get tax or hop in with someone :)

You could upload it to imageshack / dropbox or similar and post the link or embed it.

That is what most seem to do I think?

Oh, and great news that you got it sorted :)

I've started using dropbox as my phone (HTC one / Android) can upload pictures directly when they're taken.

Otherwise, photobucket, imgshack etc. are all good.

To display pictures on the page use img (in square brackets) in front and /img after each picture. i.e.

Code:
[img]https://www.dropbox.com/sc/hrz0masjqj83uu3/6ae9zKqxpm[/img]

[img]https://www.dropbox.com/sc/b3gk0ogekwcgkw9/qfMrJmeHet[/img]

Just realised they're not actually appearing as images. Try deleting the dots between the numbers in the filename and try again in case that's the problem. The link needs to appear with a .jpg on the end.

With dropbox you need to put the picture in your 'public' folder. Then right click - dropbox - copy public link - then paste into the reply box on the forum using the [img] tags.

The damage looks pretty insubstantial given the complete electrical devastation. I was expecting pictures of a smoking pool of melted plastic

Personally I've take to using Picasa as it comes for free with an Android phone/Google account and there's a simple share via Picasa option from the android gallery
Photobucket and flickr are good, especially for novices, as they provide the bbcode required to reproduce the photo. Other upload sites you have to find it yourself as I did with the above

I've gone away from photobucket as they keep changing everything round and every time I go on I'm learning it all over again, plus the hasstle of logging on.
Dropbox is a file sharing thing rather than just pictures, and it integrates with windows explorer on a PC so it just looks like a folder. No learning curve every time and no logging in.
