Like Sunny I wouldn't bother with wrapping the downpipe. It tends to deteriorate and fray quite quickly with oil, grease, road dirt dirt etc. It all ends up looking very messy and untidy. If you are really concerned about radiant heat then a neater solution is to use a ceramic coating like Zircotec (http://www.zircotec.com)

You've done well to keep it looking that good. Does appear that you've done a very good job of wrapping in the first place. Stainless jubilee clips and/or ties?

I´m always try to use stainless nuts, bolts and clips as rusted threads and parts make me insane. Also I always replace srews and nuts with regular threads when I working on my cars.

Because of that I´ve bought a stainless steel frontpipe from Aussi. It made me suspicious when it came with polished pipes and black painted flanges. My fears was comfirmed as You can see above. The pipes are stainless, but the flanges are regular steel.

The Blitz Nur Spec R 70mm stainless system I used to have on my ST205 also had normal mild steel flanges.

The older Nür SpecR where partly made of mild steel. Mine was fully made of stainless steel, including the flanges:

Hi again,

I just bought cheap chinese downpipe from ebay. It arrived about week ago, but fitment is really bad in st205 celica. It is impossible to fit. I think I need weld it again if I want to use it. Maybe I buy new one with good fitment. Please don't buy these ebay cheap downpipes. It won't fit.

Now I thinking to buy a new one. Can you tell witch downpipe has good fitment. Looking for berk downpipe now and I think it is ok? Like this: http://www.fensport.co.uk/Parts/Model_1 ... ory_4/3682

Where I can get this downpipe cheap as possible? Are there any other good suggestions? Hope you understand. Thank you.

I'll be honest, im suprised you have had issues as my multiple cheap jobbies have been fine. Just luck of the draw I guess. Sorry to hear about that

Hi,

Will berk downpipe fit with my koyo radiator? It's berk bolt on? No welding needed? I have two pictures for you. Please see this:

What you think. I think it can fix if I weld flexi section on it.

It should fit, it usually helps to fit some slimline fans.
