There are risks to damage and overheating as the under tray protects and also filters air to aid cooling (i believe?) But no other repercussions that I am aware of although I believe others may be better qualified to answer this more accurately. |

Yes. The driveway gets black. More potential for mechanical damage from stones etc. esp. if timing belt cover off too, and a lot more engine bay corrosion, general filth, and moisture in electrical connectors. |

datajon wrote: 1) reduces road muck getting into engine bay
2) reduce road wash doing stuff harm ie alt bearing, tensioner bearings etc 3) reduces drag 4) increase cooling for coolant radiator 5) better cooling towards charge cooler pre rad 6) better cooling towards using front mounted intercooler 7) improved handling due to smooth bottom effect 8.) better MPG. 9) toyota design & install under trays for all the above reasons 10) only lazy dim wits don't keep them on. |

Agree with all the above. I ran mine without for a while and the engine bay ended up a rusty mess. |

My 205 never had them when I bought it. Any puddle of any significance at speed and the car grinds to a halt - normally in the middle of the puddle so you get your feet wet drying out the ignition. |

ALSO it prolongs the life of the oil sump |

haha, i don't have to worry about that because oil ALWAYS finds its way out of my engine and there is evidence (this time) of it on the bottom of the sump. Last year my car amazingly teleported all of its oil out of the engine in one go never to be seen again. Caused quite a lot of damage. Nibbles had to tow me back to the nibbles repair bay... Never got to the bottom of where it went.... Oh, Lewis witnessed it happen too. |
