Morning all,
After having my engine replaced by Martin Kingston , I decided to get a boost controller fitted at the same time, now with the engine nearly run inn
I'm looking for somewhere to get it setup properly. I don't like the idea of just turn up the wick and go I'm looking for someone that knows the engine.
So with that in mind does anyone have someone they recommend I'm in westcliff on sea Essex and don't mind traveling as long as the reputation is good cheers
Dave

boost controllers dont need setting up as such mate, they are easy to do.

What make are you getting then you just use it to similar specs to get similar results.

Paying someone to do such a simple job in my eyes is a total waste of your hard earned cash

Just my 2p though

The controller is a gizmo and is simple to set up, this just more of a precaution
as my last engine went pop on standard
Boost and I'd rather get it done where it
Can be monitored/check to make sure it's running as it should be before I go turn the boost up.

with regards to the running right I can see what you mean there as if the fueling isnt ok then the car won't be, hence I have a dyno done every now and then to check the fuel pump is still working fine at my highest boost setting.

If you have a new pump in then i can't see any problems with running the standard aimed high boost of 1.1bar safely, I have run it for over 6years now, my pump has done 139,000 miles too.

Unfortunately I don't run a gizmo, I have a Blitz but my settings for high are along the lines of..

Gain ( responsiveness of boost) 5
Boost ratio (number) 59 percent = about 1.07 - 1.15bar

I set the top gain to 5 because this IS what Blitz recommend for a stock 3s gte block.

The ratio is just the number to which you will want the boost setting.
