The measurement from the top of the COP fixing plate to the top of the connector is 54/55mm.

(Bearing in mind that on our COP units the connector sits at an angle the measurement is to the uppermost part of the connector).

I would be interested to hear if you have enough space under your chargecooler for the COP's.

The absolute height of the cop units might not be the end of the story either

On the Caldina units I have the loom plug is angled up so more height will be required for the connector

Steve, the measurement includes the angled connector plus loom plug

Are the COP that you are using (Don) just a pressure fit as opposed clipping onto the spark plug like regular leads?

Not quite sure what you mean JP? The COP's press on to the spark plugs but they don't 'click' as such. Maybe that's what you mean by pressure fit? You really do have to screw them onto the cam cover as otherwise I can imagine they would come loose.

That is exactly what I meant :-)
My concern was that it is difficult to know if they had reached the spark plug or not as there was no "click" once engaged. I never got round to measuring them of the spark plug hole depth.

Hi,

spark plug and cop is connected by a little spring, so you must screw them down

plan B could be a alu plate who push them down

The RacerX COP kit includes an aluminium plate with threaded posts or studs. This plate bolts onto the ST205 cam cover using the existing screw holes then the COP's are held down via the threaded post or stud and securing nut. I've also seen some people modify the cam cover so that you can bolt the COP's directly and thus dispense with the alu plate.

Hi,

and i'am using a ST246 cam cover and a slightly (14mm) raised TMIC, anyhow becouse of the EFR i had to do a custom pipework so that mission wasn't that thing

Sunny, is there enough space to fit the 1ZZ COP's including the connector plugs between your ST246 cam cover and the base of your TTE intercooler?
