Hi all, just wondering how I can tell what revision my engine is.

It's a 92 185 with 9 bolt manifold studs.

Also would like to know if the head bolts are stretch type and will they need replacing if head is removed?

If it's 9 stud head it's rev 2. Rev 3 is 8 stud.
Rev 2 block has the oil filter on top of the oil cooler next to the turbo, and it's water feed is brought round from the back via the hardpipes. The REV 3 has the oil filter built in the sump and the water feed from the cooler comes out of the block next to it.

They all use stretch bolts as standard (which need new ones) Unless someone has fitted ARP studs & nuts in which case you can re-use.

Cheers Chris. Why did they go to 8 studs after the warping issue from 7 to 9 then drop again?

The rev 3 head has other differences in the pattern of the bolts, it generally doesn't seem to suffer the same problem.
