ST 165 of course.
I'm interested mostly in practical side of that topic. Sound, looking is not most important. Only power...

The stock exhaust is restrictive, I think we all know that...

The best one for the 165? Hmmm, opinions vary! The Aussie system would be a good bet in my opinion, or get one custom made?

I'd go for at least a 2.5" stainless system. Fitting a 3" system will show the most gains imho, but the dreaded boost creep may be a possibility, but doubtful since the 165 has a single exit wastegate, unlike the 185 and 205.

I very much doubt you will be able to fit anything larger than 3" following the stock exhaust route.

Cost? The exhaust is a close fitment, no very close once you get upto a 3" bore. The 2 main tricky areas to get 100% right are underneath the engine to get over the cross member and also at the rear of the car, getting over and through the small hole by the rear diff, this picture shows the small space available fairly well...

A complete 2.5" system is shown below

This is the Scorpion system. It is recommended, but not the lack of the front flexi section that the stock exhaust has. This wasn't a problem for this particular exhaust system.

Thanks for pictures. I think I found right product. I'm sure You don't know it because it's a polish manufacturer. He has really good opinion and experience in doing sport exhausts. I'll do some pictures and tell You more about it later.

Hi Radek,

At least with a custom exhaust you can have it made to your own spec.
Get it looking, sounding and performing to how you like it.
