Everyone knows that cat. is a brake for exhaust system. I would like to cut it off but... What about O2 sensor? I feel there can be some problems with it's readings. ECU will get bad data ...bla bla
What do You think?

The O2 sensor is before the CAT so you should have no problems in removing it. :)

Agree with Mike! :)

There are downpipes available which improve further still when comp[ared to simply removing the internals of the cat.

Pictured below are the internals of the cat...

So, all I have to do is get this something out of the pipe? Sounds easy. (it means it's not so easy as it look like :D - like always...) Did You feel car runs better without it. Did someone measure power difference after removing of cat?

Yes the car runs "better" without the cat.

Popular guess is that removing the cat adds ~5hp/tq ish

turbo spools up faster too, giving you a shed load more torque :)

Radek,
See if the exhaust fitter your going to can make you a custom de-cat pipe. If you do remove the internals of the existing CAT be very careful and wear a mask as the stuff is toxic.

Not one of those crappy paper masks either!

I noticed a big grin factor difference when gutting the cat manifold, but I noticed a bigger one still going for a 3" Aussie replacement pipe 8)
