Does anybody know if there are any issues around swapping a UK/Euro spec engine loom onto a JDM 3S-GTE? I know that Martin recently fitted a rebuilt JDM lump into Mikes UK ST205. Did that have any loom issues? I have a brand new Euro engine loom left over from my track build and am looking to fit it to my spare JDM engine. Effectively this is the reverse of Mikes build. |

Not aware of any issues, if anything the UK loom will have more plugs on it that a Jap one e.g. EGR |

Not aware of issues swapping engines, but I wouldn't be so certain about looms, particularly the interface to the body loom. |

Hiya don sometimes there is differences so I always check pin outs from one loom to the other simply comparing and altering/matching the 2 there was no alterations needed for mikes as far as I can remember but don`t hold me to that as I do so many I get easily mixed up lol Obviously as has already been mentioned the uk has more plugs unless your on a wrc loom Martin |

there might be a difference around the aircon-pump/lamda/hotdog sensor area... I swapped just that section over (from the plastic section behind the cam wheels to the aircon connections) from a donor loom and the colours did not match up (that is not to say that ecu pinout to the said sensors/connections are not the same i.e. same pin out but different colour wiring..) Just double check in case I may be right (probably not) Also, my car is a WRC if that makes a difference in wiring loom wire colours etc..? |

The JDM has a different aircon pump as it's full climate control. |

Good point Chris! Anybody know if the Euro spec ST205's had climate control or air con? Sunny maybe? |

As far as I know the euro spec cars are the same as the UK - except the obvious differences in driving side. So they are fitted with aircon rather than climate control. |
