anybody have any idea what this is a map of? data extracted from stock rev3 ecu. x and y data (0-14 and 0-8) were made up by me. edit:- interpreted slightly differently |

Looks like the stock ignition map. RPM left(low) to right(high) Manifold pressure back (vac) to front (boost) Advance bottom(zero) to top(40 degrees ish) |

For the 185 AFAIK |

the 185 map is 15x15 and the 205 is 15x9. what could be the reason for the lower resolution? Also, the values and the span are completely different. |

The map in the first post is for turbo boost pressure control, it is one of the maps/tables that controls the pulse width of the Turbo VSV. That map is indexed by throttle position on one axis and RPM on the other axis to give a base line pulse width for the T/VSV. There are other maps/tables that alter the pulse width depending on selected gear, intake air temp and manifold pressure. |

was also looking into the blitz access rom code for the maps but seems pretty well hidden (in hex viewer) waiting for my hitachi processor plugin to disassemble code in the hope that the map areas become more obvious. In the meantime i did a google search for some maps including blitz ones and few came up on the OC!!! Clicked the links and came up "GT4OC Membership/Trial Expiry Notice" That PI$$ED me off AGAIN! Well done to DC for keeping things free and open (especially when everyone benefits) The bit that gets me is I probably made some of them posts and now I cant see them! Sod'Em! Oh look, I'm ranting again! lol |

oh, ok, so its RPM vs PWM for the T/VSV. Interesting. There are other maps but getting long winded as my laptop has excel 2013 and everything is different to what I'm used to on work PC (excel 2010). Typical microsoft selling the same stuff but jiggle everything around to make it look completely new. |
