Hey guys,
I've seen conflicting information on the original tyre sizes fitted to the 15's on the ST185.
The wiki on here says 205/60 but I've seen other sources say 215/50.

What is the source of truth?!
I want to change to 16's and would like to maintain a rough rolling diameter...

Cheers!

Hmm, I thought the standard size was 215/50/15 on the ST185?

Heh, so that's a combo of the 2 sizes I have listed. That confuses things further!

The stock wheel for the ST185 is a 15" diameter by 7" width (7Jx15).
Standard tyres are 205/60/15
The info is here: http://www.gt4dc.co.uk/info/what/wheels/wheels.htm

Note: 215/50R16 is for the ST205.

Interestingly it looks like the narrow body had a different size from the widebody!

Narrow - 205/60/14
Wide - 215/50/15

Data taken from Rene's site - http://www.turbocelica.nl

Also the difference between the two sizes yields a less than 1% speedo error so not a big deal really.

As for your new size you can calculate different sizes at http://www.willtheyfit.com

Mike is correct ;-) the wiki is incorrect. It may be that the original source of some sections of the wiki such as wheel size is usa/Canada and different wheel /tyre sizes were used there!????
The early narrow body (jdm only) st185 came with 14" wheels and smaller brakes.

The late wide body was 15" wheels and 215/50/15.

Cheers guys. That also explains why the brakes are so *bleep*!
