My car (st205) is currently running 286 bhp and 247 pound of torque!

how would i increase the torque figure?

I notice alot of people are running sim power and torque figures!

so far i have done...

Blitz nur spec
aussie down pipe
standard flexy (I reckon i'll get boost creep if i change it)
EBC (Greddy) @ 1.1 bar
Forge induction kit attached to turbo with the samco induction hose!

Cheers

fully programmable ECU.... Its partly down to the mapping and ignition timing advance.

monster boost at low rpms, tailing off at higher RPM's is partly how the WRC cars achieve huge torque figures without exceeding 300bhp etc...e.g anti-lag!

I expermented on a rolling road; the ignition was adavnced to 15 degrees to see what happened ;)

The result was a dyno of 267bhp & 312 lbs ft at 1.4 bar on the stock ct26. The boost tailed off at the higher rpms (5000+) as did the torque curve....

Advancing the ignition right across the rev range is NOT a safe way to tune your car. On my outing, it was done as purely as an execise to see how the stock ECU would perform under these conditions on a rolling road...

My 2p,

I'd make sure my boost crontroller was set up well i.e. for the boost to build agressively and maintain a constant level. You can check this with a boost gauage, take it you have one installed?

Check the base timing. Should be set to 10 degrees...

A replacement flexi section is probably going to help, but as you say, may expose another shortcoming...

These of course are only minor tweeks and as Gary has mentioned full control of spark and fuel will help

Hope that helps! :)

yeah I have a boost gauge plumbed in! the EBC is running fairly well! I do get a little creep between 5000 and 6000 rpm but it's about 0.3 - 0.4 bar!

full boost comes in at about 3000 so not really different from original! Boost peaks at 1.15 bar and never anymore than that!

when i had it on dyno and never had a warning about it being lean or too rich :)

If you have any ideas about setting EBC differently I'd be keen to here them! Alex knight set it up originally and I haven't touched it since! apart from cold mornings I knock it down 1% on high just to keep it at 1.1 or there abouts.

I just got to find a place to get it remapped and figure out some more research on ECU I'm going Apexi I reckon!
