Anyone know why I can't post a reply in the wanted section? It says Administrators only!

What's going on?! Surely this can't be right! Is it just me or is everyone locked out?

No it's not just you.
I believe that the philosophy behind the Wanted and For Sale sections being locked is that anyone with a genuine interest in a part or has the required part that is wanted, PM the person directly.

Nigel has it

The decision was takes from the outset the in for sale/wanted the club would run things as more of a classified setup to avoid the endless stream of good luck, that's too expensive etc etc posts
PMs work just fine though ;)

Seeing the mess that many of the OC threads end up, it's probably a good decision too.

I guess I should read the site policy a bit more thoroughly! I must admit I'd have thought that deals done out in the open would be a good thing, but no worries :D

Deals done in the open are a good thing for sure. But posts that get drowned in "good meeting you the other day, good luck with the sale", "pfft, can get them on eBay for half that", *insert in-joke for select group of people* etc are irritating as hell!

Just to add to the rest of the replies - another reason was that you sometimes get a deluge of comments regarding the price of the item.

So basically if you are interested in an item in the for sale/wanted section just PM the poster.

And of course "Caveat Emptor" :)
