Ok, thanks a lot Mate!

For the accomodation, I read good things about the Premier Inn Guildford Central...

Mmm will have to take there my Espresso machine for the breakfast...

For London, I normally park at Surbiton and take the train from there to Waterloo. It's inside zone 6 for an all zones 1 day travelcard (unlimited travel on train / tube / bus). There's a good car park about 3 mins walk (take road opposite station and 1st left). Easy access from the A3, come off at Tolworth and it's about 5 min.

Premierinn are fine - functional but clean and tidy and if you book early pretty cheap.

Need help again, sorry! :)

1. As I don't exactly know when the course will end the last day, as the say 5pm but I know it could be later, I'd like to know if, usually, is possible to get the ferry to France without any booking

2. Where to have dinner in/around Guildford?
Any advice?

Thanks

Wolf

I usually use Eurotunnel rather than the ferry as its usually cheaper and more reliable. I've never tried to travel without a booking as its often fully booked.

We used to have GT-Four meets at the Premier Inn as there's a nice restaurant there as well.

Ok thanks!
As my Caddy is LPG, so no Eurotunnel, I'll proceed with latest ferry booking.

Generally speaking you can turn up at the port and buy your ticket at the desk and get on the next available sailing.
There's a mini restaurant/cafe by the parking/loading area if you have to wait.

May be better to book online and get a later crossing for that evening...
you can always turn up early and, more often than not, get on the next sailing.

When you are over here, if you dont fancy driving anywhere to go out for a meal, I'm sure one of us will swing by and pick you up, take you out and drop you back at the Hotel.

Ehm...

as far as you know, would I need Passport to get there, or my Identity Card would be enough?

Thanks...

We do not have identity cards here in the UK so a passport would be advisable.

Although I believe that technically yes you are allowed to travel on the ID card.

I would use your passport just to avoid any problems.
