Good day to all,

The previous owner of my gt-four thought it was cool to Debadge it :| NOT!!!!! and he lost them afterwards.

now i am stuck to figure out witch is the correct side to put them, the Celica and the GT-FOUR, of when she was manufactured.

i've looked on google but some pictures the gtfour is on the left and other it is on the Right. but which is the correct side?

thank you :)

Maybe that witch stole the badges for mysterious magical rituals

The gt-four badge goes on the left as you look at the rear of the car

She is from Japan though, I have made an other research on wasn't the badges the oposite? in UK its Toyoya Celica on the left and GT-FOUR on the right.
But in Japan it was only GT-FOUR on the left and Celica on the right.

she is imported from Japan so i guess that would be my correct answer.

My UK and JDM cars are both the same

However my UK one is a post 96 facelift so perhaps they switched sides

The GT-Four is on the left too on my 94 early four.
As said above, maybe they changed them on the facelifts?

The GT-Four is on the right on my UK 1994 ST205WRC and on the left for my JDM 1994 ST205WRC so it looks like they did switch sides with the GT-Four badge when they introduced the facelift UK ST205 in 1996.

OK,

So it's time for a slice of humble pie with lashings of stupid idiot sauce

Having spent several hours in close proximity to Sirius' car two things are apparent
His gt-four is on the right side (our cars are both UK post facelift within about 5 on chassis numbers)
Mine has had the boot/rear deck lid painted (before my ownership) to fit a high level WRC spoiler

It is most likely that all the confusion is down to the fact that mine is in the wrong
Major apologies for that

Facelift refers to a few small changes that Toyota introduced in 1996. Three post rear spoiler being the most obvious along with side skirts and six spoke 16" wheels. The WRC water spray system and anti-lag were absent from the engine bay. There was a second facelift in early 1998 for the last six months of production for tbe JDM. Projector main and dip headlights are the obvious signs.

Just to confirm - there was no change with the UK positioning of the badges pre or post facelift.

Here is a pic of my 1996 UK Facelift with its original 3 post tailgate showing the GT-Four on the right hand side.
