I'm keeping my eyes open for a tablet at the moment. Two main uses, one is easy internet use while away and for filling in maintenance records (probably web forms) for later upload to office PC as an alternative to the current paper ones.

Just spotted this and wondering if people who know more than me about these things think it's suitable. Seems very cheap for a 10 inch, and the larger size would be easier to work with.

The media player I got my youngest was android based, but it didn't use the Google play store and so was very limited what apps you could get loaded onto it. I heard the newer ones were much the same, ala the amazon fire tablets. They are android but not Google play store supplied apps only one amazon port onto their system. Personally I'd get a nexus tablet if I was you

The nexus is 3 times the price and only 7 inch. TBH it just exceeds what it's worth to me, especially bearing in mind a fairly high probability of breakage as it'll get carried round to site.

I'd probably rather get one of these for the same money as nexus.

Where is your pain threshold?
The previous nexus tablet is still available for around 130
