Just a quick update on this...
First of all, the funeral went very well. Chris's mum expressed her deep gratitude to the club for all their efforts put in with regards helping Chris out on Ezzy.
Secondly, very many thanks to everyone that donated - I'll be sending a cheque for £120 to the Funeral Directors made payable to the British Heart Foundation.
Thirdly, it is the family's adamant wishes that Ezzy goes to CDB to do what he wishes with.
I believe that CDB felt uncomfortable about being given it so wishes to make a separate donation to the family.
Also CDB is the most likely person to be able to keep it on the road and, more importantly, use it as Chris would have liked.

Maybe a little early to make a public announcement about Ezzy as it's not signed & sealed as yet.
Chris said he wanted Ezzy to come to me when he was no longer able to drive her, and the family all seem very positive that's whay they want also. As Nigel mentions, I think he realised I was the most likely person to keep her on the road and enjoy driving her. I think he would have wanted that far more than a full restoration followed by sitting in a collectors garage full of other cars that are never driven properly.
