I hope this is the right section for this post.

Had some sad news this evening from Chris Hooper's (Jingo11) sister, which she has asked me to pass on to everyone he knew, that he passed away Thursday in his sleep unexpectedly.
Afraid i don't know any more than that other than she is going to try and put a post up on some of the forums expressing her thanks for those that helped him out over the years.

Thoughts go out to his family, RIP Chris, you'll be missed buddy...

What terrible news :(

I don't know what to say, despite all the adversity that faced him he was always a cheerful chap.

I think I speak for everyone in the club when I say that we would like to do something for the family, funeral etc, whether it be flowers or a donation etc.

Please let us know any details if you are able.

:(

Thanks for letting us know Steve. Such sad news but his enthusiasm and determination to overcome all his problems were an inspiration to us all.

So sad to see this news. :-(

Through all the adversity life threw at him; he always put a brave face on and battled through with a cheerful smile on his face.

My thoughts are with his family and in particular his little girl.

I would like to echo Mikes comments regarding doing something for the family, Steve/CDB if are in contact with the family or are better placed to make a suggestion on anything we can do please post up.

People on CCUK are thinking similarly, maybe we can do something jointly. I'll update when I hear anything.

I had a call from Chris's sister yesterday and now have her phone number.

I'm really devastated by this news
I spent a few Saturdays over the years at his place, like others, helping out and generally trying to provide moral support.
He always had a smile through all his adversity and his courage was amazing.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do and what the arrangements are.

RIP Chris

Hi all I have been chatting to sarah (chris' s sister ) this evening and she has requested I post up about the funeral !
She has been overwhelmed by the response from ccuk and how well thought of he was both now and in the past when we helped raise funds for ezzy to get the duck clutch !
Sarah has said she would love to meet his ccuk family so if anyone wishes to attent the funeral to pay tribute to chris they will be welcome and feels that its what chris would have wanted.

The funeral will be held on monday 24th march at worthing crematorium at 12 .20 pm postcode is BN140RG

Then afterwards at the maypole pub in yapton postcode is BN180DP ( I beleive but ill get this confrmed)

I will be in attendance and will let sarah know roughly how many wish to attend

I'm planning to attend also.

I'm planning to attend as well.

Does anyone have any thoughts about a collection/chipping in to get a wreath (or tribute) from the this forum?

For example, here's some ideas from the InterFlora site:
http://www.interflora.co.uk/catalog/product.xml?product_id=2623862;category_id=19
http://www.interflora.co.uk/catalog/product.xml?product_id=2623202;category_id=2001533
http://www.interflora.co.uk/catalog/product.xml?product_id=2624562;category_id=15

I am happy to organise this.

EDIT:
Perhaps with the addition of the club logo, e.g. one of the following:

Which I can print out in colour and attach to the tribute.

Reply here or PM me if interested.
