exhaust system now sorted, so time for the whiteline arb to be fitted,
as per a previous post sirius adviced to get new droplinks. ( which i have).
the allen key hole is well rounded on the old set. so whats the easyist way of stopping the beggars from turning, so i can remove the nut.
is it time for molegrips/drills/hacksaw and blowlamp.
any advice ideas much appreciated.

Or for a less Tim "the tool man" Taylor approach. Go to your local Halfords and purchase a set of Sykes Pickavant (sp?) stud pullers. These are immensely useful.

Its a reverse threaded conical tool that allows you to screw it in to the top of stripped allen key bolts and by tightening it, it bites in to the bolt then turns it out.

I have found that they are threadlocked form Mr T and require a good heating with a blowtorch/Oxy kit. Once this is done and you have burnt all teh crud & rust off they have always come undone for me.

You must do thsi before trying or else you just round the bugegrs off.

5mm key fits in the new one's (loosely though) :( .
noticed the new one's also have a 17mm spanner sized nut with the plastic threadlock stuff in em instead of the original 14mm nuts.
the link is defenitaley a poor design IMHO and am considering getting some whiteline adjustable link replacements  (whiteline part no klc 40-090 ) http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/catalogues/WL_0322.pdf . when budget allows  .
also received some more knuckle busting parts  .
Image
now got to wait until mid november for fensports delivery of trd springs ( i want to do all the suspension in one go).
aswell as the exhaust being finally sorted. (other post) . the faffed strutt brace is back on. :D .

Have you looked at RacingBeat ones mate? Fairly cheap at 50 USD or so, and very high quality too! Check the mods list on me site for pics and details

1) cuz i,m bored waiting for parts to arrive,
2) british winter salty roads, more paint= more protection.
3) i'm probably slightly mad.
4) wife and kids do me head in sometimes so my garage and my 4 are my santuary.
5) thats why there called faffs.

there is probably many more reasons. but thats a good start :)
