hi,

if anyone can help with the above that would be great.

i ran through the tappet settings today as it was nice out and i was home alone (limited moaning).

i need to run through them with my nice Mac blades and bring home a micrometer for the final check.

i ran through them like i said using crappy snap on feelers i don't like these blades as the are more aimed a thou of inch with near enough metrics underneath.

i swapped a couple of shims about and got all but 4 in spec some of which are slightly tight for my likeing but with my MAC blades which are pure metric they may feel better.

so i'll post up the required sizes when i get them.

so of the others are in spec but the amount varries from 8 - 10 thou exhaust and 6- 8 thou inlet. is there anything to gain by getting each valve gap on the inlet the same and each gap on the exhaust the same

ie all inlets at .20mm and all exh .25mm?

cheers

for your help

Sean

thanks anyway,

i seem to be fitted with alot of 9.2 upwards already.

if i just go for in spec i can get away with about 4 shims but that means some are right on the low limit and some are on the high limit and one or two are spot on.

i have to ring the dealer muppets and see if they can find them on the system, they usually need a map to find their computer.

oh and all run away saying ooow dont think you can get parts for imports takes about six weeks until you provide a part number for them.

well i will have to try em.
