Can someone check the EPC & find out the part number for a 205 driveshaft rubber boot (Gearbox end, drivers side) please.

Many thanks.

you can buy generic stretchy boots from motorfactors for about £7 each, which are brilliant because theyre so easy to fit - if you buy the fitting cone too :)

Andy - have recently fitted 2 stretchy boots with the special strechy boot tool and my considered opinion is that they are poor! Both have subsequently split after say 2k miles?

Buy once, buy Toyota or other suitable. Don't go for a stretchy boot.

I hope the one Smithy fitted to my left rear drive shaft doesn't fail after 2k miles :(.....The CV joint wouldnt release from the drive shaft and the flange nuts on the diff end were well and truly seized so might need to cut them off to fit an OEM CV boot. The joys of maintaining old Fours!

Don - the rear boots may live longer since hey are not subjected to the same amount of movement that the fronts are - both failures were on the front for me
