Hi all, apologises for repeating my self but not sure if this is a mod or maintenance. Can anyone tell me where I can get a set of up rated anti roll bar bushes for my CS. They need replacing so I want to go for the neoprene/nylon ones instead of the standard rubbers ones. Hope someone out there can help, cheers everyone, Dorris

superflex direct or fensport :)

IMO, dont bother buying bushes for the rear. instead, buy the whiteline adjustable ARB which comes with new bushes too. this will transform the handling of the car ;)

ive been looking at the whiteline ARB from fensport aswell. but also looking at replacing the standard droplinks for uprated ones aswell, wheres the best place to get them???
with the whiteline ARB, which is the best to go for, the adjustable or non-adjustable??? is extra suspension setting up required for the adjustable one???

why do you want to "uprate" the droplinks? theyre not exactly a performance item. el cheapo £13 a side pattern parts from your local motorfactors are just as good as the originals.

spend money in the right place, get the whiteline ARM :)

I would go for the adjustable bar, gives you greater flexibility to set it up how you like it.

Personally I run my bar on the softest setting which is softer than the non adjustable bar.

i was asking about the drop links, because i know on my dads scobby that the standard drop links were plastic and when he uprated them for the alloy ones it made a hell of a difference, i was just wondering if this was the case on the celica.
with the whiteline ARB it comes with the bushes for it, how many more bushes are there in the rear end if i was to replace the whole lot??? and wheres best to buy them??
one more, how easy is the ARB to adjust??

cheers

Just to clarify, the Whiteline ARB is larger diameter than the OEM ARB on the ST205 and going by Whitelines own chart this equates to something like a 90% increase in roll stiffness compared to the OEM ARB. I would imagine that the ST185CS would also benefit to a similar degree. The three adjustment holes in the end of the adjustable Whiteline ARB are only for fine tuning. I also run mine on the 'softest' setting unless I'm on track. Even on this setting there is a big benefit from the increase in roll stiffness through the thicker Whiteline ARB.

The easiest way to get a set of bushes would be through Fensport www.fensport.co.uk although you may also be able to get the equivalent 'generic' polybushes from other suppliers if you know the dimensions.

The Whiteline ARB adjustment is pretty simple as all you have to do is use an Allen Key and ring spanner to undo the locknut. If this has been on the car for a while then it can be difficult to remove due to corrosion. To solve this problem we are looking at a group buy for droplinks with conventional nut and bolt attachments. There are a number of options available which will fit the bill.

On a side note - since I'm looking to buy an ARB too - I was looking at Whiteline's website and their brochure and saw this:

I was going to buy the Whiteline. But.. I have this Jap parts fetish.

Does this mean that the C-One swaybar for the ST205 will fit my ST185 too? :D

I knwo the St185 & St205 stock ARBs are the same - there may be a 1mm change in diameter of teh rod used but it coudl have been taht one was rusted more than teh other! (This is what I suspect anyway)

I have fitted a whiteline to my st185, removed and fitted to my st205 and then put teh stock ST205 bar back on my ST185. I therefore suspect they will all fit each other unless the C-one aftermarket ones are designed different.
