Sealey are one of the better makes. A step down from say Snap-on but still not shoddy stuff. I have a 1/2 air impact wrench made by Sealey thats built like a brick shyte house.

Found out a little some thing about Halford ratchets. Someone said they are not covered by the life time warranty. Thats not correct. Maybe they have changed their policys but the Halfords pro ratchets do come with the same life time warranty as their other tools.

Cheers,

Tone

i have a mix and match of tools, mostly halfords pro range, but they have been used every day for the past 2 years and are still going, but its worth trying to get a set of 6 sided sockets as the dont slip and round off bolts as easy, i got a rail of 3/8 drive 6 sided Burgen socket from 8mm to 22mm for about £30 and they are great.

Oh dear,

Confession time

My tools consist mostly of cheap junk

The last set I bought was from Machine Mart, about 70 quid for 11billion tools  although the sockets are 6-siders
All I do buy is decent ratchets - have a couple of snapon jobbies - and precision stuff like torque wrenches and replace carp with decent quality one at a time as I loose things lol

The old man's Clarke compressor is now probably 20 years old and has never ever had any sort of issues despite running a spray booth for the first few years of it's life. Likewise the clarke blurt gun, sanders, mops etc etc. Cheap stuff but seems to have lasted forever

Even my Aldi (or LIDL possibly) angle grinder has done more than enough to justify the 7 quid price tag lol

things i consider to be consumable tools, ie pliers, screwdrivers, grinders etc, i usally buy cheap ons as these items get abused moreso than anything else, so if they break, i dont give a toss.
